Hi All, i have travel website and i want to get listed in DMOZ, how do i get listed? What i have to do with?
the key is wait patiently. if u resubmit then it will reset the time and will take evenlonger therefore wait patiently, if ur content is good and unique then in few months u will be selected
It is taking as long as 18 months if you even get listed. Don't waste your time stressing over one listing, get as many good back links as you can. You submitted and now it is out of your hands..move on.
There were submissions waiting well over 5 years before the crash. Of course, they are now gone, so the wait may now be less then 5 years. Depending on the category, of course.
It's similarly difficult to get accepted as an editor. It's just a link, it's just a directory. Submit and forget. It's not worth any time or effort beyond submitting the site.
Haa, ./.. hahaa... //... What i have heard is dmoz gonaa start charging a flat fee of $500 for a link , cause from the way its going (removing good editors etc etc.) the evil metas might actually be starting up a pvt. company and make their living off dmoz

well as per my experience if you submit under regional category then you might get a link quite easily
I think it depends on the category too. I submitted to a regional category and also to a personal blog and those were both done in 3-6 months. Other more boring categories like industrial businesses seem to be taking over a year so far.
Without a link to the travel site it is impossible to say whether it is even worth submitting and waiting. The vast majority of travel sites do not qualify as they contain affiliate content that doesn't qualify. ODP has an appalling problem with existing listings of travel sites and they would be far better off spending their time removing the tons of crap already there before adding new ones. Sound advice For something worth no more than $10. Fools and their money are easily parted.
It's maybe worth that. But never much more, even for the 'better' categories. If you make your payment, and then the editor removes the link. Who can you complain to? It's a scam to be sure, and I'd not trust it.
Submit once and then wait. Don't spend any more time than that. Who knows if the DMOZ will even exist in a few more years.
