I got quite a few of those in my dir... funny thing was some of the lower categories had higher pr that the top category and they still wanted it in the top. I usually give them the option of paying the difference for a featured top category submission or a refund. I recently added this to the regular submission page...

Not like it will make one bit of difference because we all know how paypal operates...

I know most of the submitters wouldn't bother to read the guidelines but still you can increase the font size for the specific guideline and make it a different color. In your submit notification email template, mention it on the top that the site will be moved to best suitable category.

If it still doesn't work out. REFUND ;)

    Yeah, this is a pain.

I will be installing that mod as soon as I get some free time.

For now, when this happens, I send an email back stating the guideline, and tell them where the guidelines are. And like Pctec, I let them know the difference to upgrade. 9 times out of 10, the customer sends the extra money.

If not, just refund and move on. (It hurts though!)

I think this might be also because all directories operate on different rules, maybe we should standardise. Have a rule book , all directories following a specified code, saying the directory is xyz code certified. Bah wont work , most of them still dont read.
