submit it to a few directories, which will help with your traffic and PR, if you care about PR.

One thing I noticed about your page design is the slower loading time. You may want to think about changing some of the graphics (notably the boxes on the right hand side) to .gif or .png. Either of these will be a fraction of the size of the current .jpg files.

As for SEO, you can never have too many backlinks. Just be sure to get them from relevant sites, and don't do too many link exchanges.

    Thanks guys.

Bullfrog245, thanks for pointing that out. I've optimized images into .png and they should load much faster now.

    Cheers

The content should always be updated because the very important factor on a website is the content. No matter how good your design if the content is not informative or the thing that it should have was not there, its useless.
Another is that your site must be user friendly meaning easy to use and understand.
Your site must have interactions between the user and the site itself.

nice site. could use a bit of colour. you've done a good job on the seo, i think u'r a pro pretending to be a newbie :)

only if the site is for delivering the latest news.

exactly. that's why google likes content to stay the same. make new pages by all means, but don't keep removing the content from them. google likes to know that ur site hasn't changed between the time it was cached and the time a search engine user finds it.

You have to delete the tables and convert into div and create the separate css file from where u can change the font and size of your website.
Backlinks are very essential for ranking your site
put the relevant and non-competitive keywords and update the content oftenly.
for ranking your site, you have to do following things.
    1 directory submission,
    2 article marketing,
    3 press release,
    4 forums
    5 blog commenting

I gotta say to try the directory listing game. It worked out great. It takes alot of patience though.

Article submission is as important too!

Thanks for all of your responses! :)

I might consider switching to div's and throwing away the tables for faster loading of the website.

I'm not a pro SEO, just learning as I go :) Still got a lot to learn

I notice you have a .com.au domain so obviously you're focusing on australian customers.

While you are getting links, get more links from other australian sites. If you want to be really really analytical about obtaining links and getting rankings in google.com.au or other aus search engines, check that the other sites are hosted in australia as well. But normally they should be hosted in aus if it has .com.au.

I also recommend you to change dynamic URLs to static URLs eg http://www.techfox.com.au/?page=bookings

    change to
    http://www.techfox.com.au/bookings.html

That way search engines can read it as well.
