hi everyone, i keep on noticing how everyone is getting huge traffic off stubleupon but not me. i started a stumbleupon account and stumbled my site and some of its pages just like ur supposed to do; i got some friends and now have about 40, and have about 60 or so thumbs up on my site. originally (for like the first 2 days) i got huge traffic, now i dont get any watsoever. this just seems weird because people are talking about how they get 2000 uniques a day from stumbleupon and i dont get any. what am i doing wrong?

    Hi,

I found that my site was the same as yours. I think you have to maintain a steady amount of daily 'stumbles' for your site so that you keep getting traffic from stumbleupon.

Well if you're not stumbling more pages, the traffic will drop off. It comes in spikes if a lot of people click "I like it" on that first day. A page would have to get hundreds of stumbles on a daily basis to keep that traffic coming.

Stumble some new content and hopefully there will be another StumbleUpon spike :)

    That's pretty normal.
You don't expect to get 2000 uniques a day just because you stumbled 40 times some page few weeks ago, don't you?

Just continue to stumble new pages ;)

i know i cant expect that many hits, but a bunch of the threads explaining stumbles are saying that they have gotten this many hits daily

The traffic I receive comes in spurts.

It will be a boat load of traffic one day and then nothing the next.

Sorry if I am offtopic and if I ask something childish..... but I opened an account with stumble upon, I downloaded the toolbar and I can stumble. My question is how do I bring my blog or pages with articles from it to be stumbled by others?
And Q nr.2 can I submit my site to be stumbled and not brake adsense TOS by doing this?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

Go to your site and click the "I like it" button and you'll get a form to submit, and you'll be all set.

Most likely their sites have new content each day that gets stumbled, or the site is just a perfect fit for SU and gets stumbled constantly.

You should add new content everyday if you want to have traffic :)

One site that I like is StumbleXchange , it contradicts Stumbleupon's TOS, but they approved it. Gets you lots of people voting your site up.

And is this allowed, I mean could you have poblems from Adsense perhaps if you're using this ? I mean it's quite some not that correct traffic that you are trying to get. or?

It has worked for lots of people so far, so I wouldn't worry. And I doubt Adsense would do anything about this.

It all depends on the quality of your site and the stickyness of the page that has been thumbsed up in Stumbleupon.

It also depends on your sites category. I find that entertainment type sites do better than an article site for example.
