Just asking a question since Authority Sites are marked as Authority for some reason yet its not included in this Section.

I think it is a good approach. I do include authoritive sites regularly in leading directory.

Authority is on the eyes of the beholder.

True. I normally add PR10 - PR9 links to my directory. I consider those sites as authoritive.

Jude, there is no reason why they should not be added.

I can go and add them to wikipedia in two mins. But everyone knows they can't stay there all the while.

Remember the Backstabbers.... If they could take out sites from DMOZ....then forget it...coz we are talking about an editable by everyone: Wikipedia ;)

I think Rob can throw some more light on this :D

Might I point out that wikipedia probably guards its independence from google quite jealously, plus its editors aren't famous for a reliance on Google opinion,

So, perhaps, they might ask, what do you mean by authority site,

Who granted this authority status you refer to,

who recognises the said authority status,
