    How is this forum (not talking about DP) monetized? How did it attract this many users?

    How did it attract so many users? Maybe because it focuses on customer complaints. They act as RESOURCE sites for a large population of consumers since many of the companies service MILLIONS of people. There's quite a few sites that cater to customer complaint. Search for them. They're fairly easy to find.

    It was do to being featured in a more popular forum. The owner was interviewed by the owner of a bigger forum strickly for admin owners. Then Google indexing took over from there.

    I think the forum is used to support their other businesses... Perhaps??? But I am not sure how they connect...
