Hi there. This site is still about 3weeks from completion as we have been developing it for the last 6 months since the new year. Below is a basic screenshot of the design. The site is a free social networking community based around a unique script with a commercial license for Google maps (This will be used for an interactive event finder) also with video's and mp3 player on profile pages. The site will also have chat rooms with audio and visual chat applications. Here is a thread asking for marketing advice: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=348560 (Any ideas and suggestions are most welcome) Here is a screenshot: Hope you like it and i am looking forward to seeing your opinions.
hey jasonb i am the first one to give my opinion and i think i am pretty new to give any opinion as such but still i am telling you what i feel -you site looks great first of all -thought the upper half of the site looks a littile dull in comparison to the lower half which is absolutely great the other thing i would like to mention is the header pic could also be given a littile more contrast (just a littile sharpness to colour) your hard work is visible keep up the good work mate gaurav
Thanks for the comments. I like the top half of the website and the sidebar the bottom half will be filled with content once the site is accually developed e.g news, events, links, advertising ect...
The design is pretty clean and sleek (much better than the cluttered up myspace design). For some reason the website doesn't stand "out" or leave a memorable mark in my brain (design wise). Not sure why.. Good concept though, good luck on your new project!
Thanks buddy, this site has alot of work put into it by both me and Nyssa and a few freelancers here and there. There will be alot of money invested into promotion, mainly attracting members is the main thing, for once its not all about search engine marketing its about truck loads of traffic and member sign ups and an active community This is the basics of the design, im working on the admin section now And we'll get a demo up in a few days time
Hi Jason - I had 2 impressions of your site when I looked at it. The first one was that I wanted to know more about it (which is a good thing). The second one was that it was too long and almost complicated. There were a lot of menu options at the top and almost too much going on elsewhere on the page. I would simplify the design a little bit. I do like the colors/graphics but would make the site a bit less business-ee.
Design looks good.. but you need to show users how your site differs from myspace/facebook, and why they should use your site!
Let me know when you launch. I'll give you a feature post, and a link if you want to do reciprocals. (That is of course if you are interested) My site is new also, but I think we have a similar demographic, and I am pulling enough page views to send some sort of traffic over for a day or so. (nothing major, but I have a growing reader and subscibership. Are you targeting just the U.S. or worldwide?
worldwide buddy. also to everyone else, thanks for compliments on the design, there is alot going into the site. youll be able to import profiles from myspace and use myspace layouts. i'd like to get allot of myspace layout sites joined up with sceneparty because it would help A) Them out B) The sceneparty members out with layouts ect.. i also want people to start groups on there too you know, like groups for there websites also profiles for there websites, blogs, directorys ect.. Youll be able to stick a link on the profile to your site/sites.
The content itself looks good but I don't like the design so much, it just seems like there's too much emphasis on 2.0 (although it's not actually 2.0, just attempted ).
very nice stuff man. The font seems a little blocky and not smooth. Also if you're just launching, I would put the "features" section near the top since at the beginning, most people visiting the site would be interested in that aspect.
thanks for the comments, i have a wordpress blog theme coded with this now. my developers and I have been working very hard on this porject
yeah we need to focus on marketing, we will submit press releases and get bloggers to review. hope it works. we mainly need traffic to the site that is relevant.
