well guys i dont have a credit card .............but i do have an international vis debit card but wwhen i seem to enter my debit card info into paypal , it rejects............. do only credit cards work???
You must use your credit card for verification. In my opinion, even if you have an international debit card with a Visa log or master card logo, yet it doesn't help. I am saying this because I had tried using a international debit card but it did not work for me .Finally when I used a credit card, it worked. By the way, I am from India.
Credit Cards works perfectly for verification of paypal account. Debit card is useless for that. VCC - Virtual Credit Card also acceptable for verification of paypal account. Its easily available between 10 to 25$. For that you have to visit Buy,Sell and Trade section of this forum.
If you have an account (savings account) in any hdfc account they will give you International Debit Card and based on that you will online apply for netsafe card whichone easily use for paypal verification process.
Indian debit card doesn't work to verify Paypal. Get a VCC for $6 and verify your paypal after verification you will get back $1.95 means it costs you $4 means Rs. 160.
You got it right because you are from another country other than India. In India, using an International Debit card for verifying your paypal is a waste of time.It does not work here, even if you have an International debit card with a visa or master logo on it.
There is much difference between Indian debit card and US debit card as far as Paypal verification concerns.
thats right. one of my cc was rejected by paypal but after few days it was automatically added to my account even my cc was not charged $1.95 in it.
Dbeit cards must be denominated in US$ to be acceptable by PayPal. Usually debit cards are in local currency, not US$
I have a visa debit card registered and it works fine but it doesn't like my maestro debit card. The other problem I have experienced with using a visa debit card, is when it expires - because the new cards usually have the same long number, it won't let you re-enter the card as a new card or update the expiry on the old card. Paypal can delete the cards off though if you give them enough hassle. Mich.
