Simple PHPLD Tweak/Mod to allow sponsors of top hits and Latest links pages

Dude nothing new i had that going on www.h-log.com for ages, but decided to remove it. Its nothing new, i thought it was old stuff and everyone knew about it.

Here is a sample i was able to digg up : http://web.archive.org/web/20060514012312/h-log.com/Arts/

But good to see its coming back ? But served me no purpose looks all fancy at first but with time it might start looking like link spam.

 

Yeah, like I said in the original post, I did a search but couldn't find anything on it, and wasn't sure if it had been done before. I decided to share it because I see it as an additional way to get revenue for the directory.

Curious as to what you mean by link spam though, I'm not following.

Morty, ive tried to add the mod and get an error:

Fatal error: Smarty error: [in sponsor.tpl line 1]: syntax error: unidentified token '“top”' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 1396) in /home/quantic/public_html/pulsedirectory/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

Do you have any advice on what i may be doing wrong?

Hmmm.
Can you PM me your sponsor.tpl file, or post it here (whichever you are comfortable with). Also what version of phpld are you running?
