Hi, I am the owner of GameScreenie which was relaunched last week with a brand new cms. My goal now is to increase traffic to the site for my intended audience of video game site webmasters mainly. I was wondering if any of you had quality ideas for promotion. I have promoted the site on vgamin which is geared towards game webmasters and have hesitated announcing on gamespress because I am in almost direct competition with them. Are there any other venues I can pursue? I will not spend any advertising money for the site. Thank you for your help!
Don't worry about the competition thing - if they are pulling the niche traffic that you need then try to figure out how you can get it from them.
I don't want tons of traffic in general, I want niche traffic geared toward webmasters who run video game related websites or entertainment websites that touch on the area of video games.
Probably..you should join some video sites traffic trade program.. In order o get traffic from them...register on their site and link them..
