but atleast Airtel is good, this net connection sucks... during monsoons it often goes down also speed I get is 20 kbps (dowload speed) whereas I shld get atleast 28-30 kbps

I get about 1000-1100 KBPS downstream and fucking 186 KBPS upstream usually...

So 2048/8 = 256 KBps ?

Just so you know, kbps is kilobitspersec and KBps is kilobytes per sec.. and 1 KBps = 8kbps.. so you do teh math. There is no way you can get 1100 KBps on a 2mbps conn.. that actually is a 256KBps conn.

You want a 100000000 MB/s screenie? man, read the friggin wikipedia page, you'd know. It's ok, even i argued with the mtnl staff, 2 years back for the same reason, and the engineer that came to my place, made me understand what Kbps really is.
