Duplicating a site? making $5 per day?

First off I'm not sure if this is the proper place to post this but I believe it is..

I'm just curious is this possible? taking a site that makes you $5 a day via AdSense and then trying to duplicate it making the same type of site marketing the same exact way etc? In my personally beliefs it seems possible but if you do it to many times it will decrease the income eventually.

I'm just curious to know what other think :D

Sounds like a great plan. As long as your not competeing with yourself I don't see why it would decrease income.

Actually, if you build several sites on somewhat related but different topics you could even interlink them.

That's what i meant though it would be some what competing with myself lol. I'm saying if I duplicated the process like 10,000 times then the income would definitely be effected.

    not a bad idea imo.
i guess it works for people who have at least one major market site.

Try to duplicate Digg or YouTube and you will make more than $5 :D
If we are talking about proxies here it's a good idea.
I don't think this will work for a content based sites (you will get in the supplementary results).

I've done that myself... it works to some degree of duplication.. just like a paper can be folded only 7 times.

copy digg and you will not make as much as digg does, because where would you get visitors?

if you duplicate the content , then you are in trouble.
if you duplicate only the marketing strategy and idea , then it is ok.

google is really strict about duplicate content" you could get black marks quickly, more than that you could even get black listed" ouch" watch your strategies and read the Google hand book guide on web masters" it ;is a great way to stay ahead of the game and not over it" even when your building your site and you have 5 pages per say" never duplicate them Google will penalize you dearly" make sure your using different meta tags on all your web pages too"
    hope this helps"

Everyone thanks for your helpful tips etc... Even though Google may not like duplicate content I'm not sure what is exactly considered..

You could call proxies duplicating the original ones.. and I see over 1000 of them making $10+/day... so yeah, depending on how you work it out, things can easily be duplicated.

If you rewrite the content, but keep exactly the same info it's fine mate -- google will not pick it up as duplicate, and it will just appear as new stuff.

Will you be competing against yourself? -- NO.

How can you be? If a person goes on site 1, and clicks your ad, why is that not as good as them going to site 2 and clicking your ad.

If anything its better -- as you have two pages from 2 sites in the search results when someone searches a term instead of 1 sites results.

More sites will be yours in the results, so you've improved your chance of getting visitors to your sites.

Just make sure you really rewrite your content, not just copy it.

    Good luck mate ;)
