Java Script in Word Press?

Can anyone show me how to put Java Script in a post so it works?

 

Do you have an option "Code" in the Edit Window? Switch to it and try..

 

Yes that is how I am placing it into the post, but when i save it degrades and doesn't hold it's form.
I am under the impression that Java doesn't work in Word Press without making some special allowances and code changes, but I don't really understand, The "what" and "how".

 

What are you trying to do with the code?

 

Place it in a post to create a pre designed search table for one of my affiliate programs.
