Google approved my wife's new a/c and it's been 2 hrs since I have added the Adsense code to the site. When would ads normally start to appear?

What do you mean when they actually appear? I see your adsense unit there already ;) However, they're PSA ads, they might take a few days for relevant ones to appear.

Adsense doesn't automatically start appearing on the site, you usually have to wait a a good couple of hours with a few refreshes of the page before the PSA ads dissapear

Sorry my question was not clear - I had meant to ask that I see PSA ads and when I would see relevant ads. You have answered my question. Thanks.

satishtalim, you have problems because AdSense can't determine the language of your pages.
    Use the google_language = "en"; tag ;)

From my experience with websites and adsense, the ads should not take any more time than a couple of seconds to show relevant ads.

I am seeing PSAs at the moment. Just be patient and you should get ads showing soon enough.

I had PSA for 5 days on my original site. Just ignore it and add content.

The ads have started appearing though they are not relevant. Tell me adding that tag would be modifying their code - not against their TOS? Are there more such tags? Any pointers?

Google ads are delivered based on the content of the page and the keywords bid on by the advertiser. I can't define a topic on the page or figure out what keywords an advertiser would bid on to show up on your site. Maybe Google has the same problem. You might do better with a non-contextual ad program. What would be a 'relevant' ad on your site?

I get your point. Like you said a non-contextual as program would be better on this particular blog.

They will get more relevant in 1-2 days.
The important thing is they are getting displayed correctly now.

Someone from Google AdSense support team told me about this tag in case of problems.
    It's not against the TOS.

probably google do not have much advertiser on that niche.. :)
    Just an assumption though.
