If you have been sandboxed or have the powers to know the length, How long does it really last ?

I get roughly 3% of my traffic from Google, since being sandboxed at the end of May, been 4 months now, with no change yet. How long does the sandbox last ?

From what I remember and have seen myself, you'll be in the sandbox for a few more months. About six months seems to be about what you could expect, maybe more maybe less.

I personally had to wait 7 months before I broke out.... however, I think it largely depends on how often big G does a major update, as that is when most sites seem to get released.

There's actually a whole sub-forum dedicated to the sandbox now which you may want to checkout.

Thought I was coming out in June, but still there in Sept (9 months). What is weird is that my subdomain is still ranking, so I still get G visitors.

What I don't understand is how this benefits Google? At the end of the day, perfectly legit sites with useful information are barely accessible to searchers for months, if not longer. How does this improve the user experience? The only thing I can think of is that Google is thinking that their users will not worry about what they don't know about (cool sites in the sandbox), but will complain if G's results are full of spam. But the whole thing seems to be backfiring with legit sites in the sandbox and spam sites in the SERPs...

I'm still in the sandbox for 10 months.

Do you mean a public pr update? Or an algo update? And how often are those updates?

If you have SEO'ed your site well, with any luck you should be released on the next algo update.

Public toolbar updates never corelate with algo updates.

What's the difference in google SEO ranking between a 5-year-old site and a 1-year-old site assuming all SEO, links, etc,. are identical?

    Very sad...............
sandbox lasts for the time fully depends on the authority of google. Basically it needs 10 months. So, friend be patient and wait for another 6 months. I guess you will be unsandboxed by this time.

my blog got sandbox to 3 time ...

gara2 that increased traffic is too fast N is already the main cause must be either because of Optimization ato keyword spam, then my previous blog so 1000/hari 500-600 online from 5-10 so 15-20visitor (70% of SE traffic) blogs october 2010 so I created about 6 months of age.

then I tried posting and posting the results they will be able to appear on page 1 google for 3 keywords maksutnya 3 keywords that eg "Full Download Free".

could actually cepet out cz my first've just 1 week out ...
    n
Avoid SEO over-klo, still hit the sandbox ... It will make my old added later ..

it's just my experience .. gan Do not just wait gan .. but also find the location of the problem (contrast 2 per blog) ..

i've been advised from my friend, if you are being sandboxed by google, you don't have to wait when your site will be back, what you need to do just keep building your backlink naturally, slowly google will see that your site is a "honest" site so no need for them to keep yours in the sandbox.

    Hope will help. Good luck

It doesn't last at all because it never also exist. Sandbox was just a term used by so called "SEO experts" to explaining something that they can't explain.

The idea of a "queue" that has a time length attached to it doesn't line up with experiences. In fact, he idea of a "queue" is one reason people (including Google) don't feel that sandbox is an accurate name.

The is no strict to answer. The sandbox filter is not a permanent filter and is only intended to reduce search engine spam. It is not intended to hold people back from succeeding. So eventually, if you continue to build your site as it should be built, you will leave the sandbox and join the other established websites.
