Best Way To Increase Yahoo Rankings

Discussion in 'Yahoo' started by sadhivm, Jun 11, 2007.

prior to 28 may 2007 i was nowhere to be seen in yahoo uk

now i have over 100 keywords listed. a few #1 positions for long tail keywords

the main keywords that i want at the top are "skin care" and "skin care products". if the overture/yahoo keyword tool is accurate, that would potentially bring me 100,000 (hopefully unique) visitors per month

my rankings at present for these keywords are

    skin care # 46
    skin care products # 57

just how do i outrank sites that-

do not update their site frequently
    do not have rss
do not have a higher page rank than myself
do not have as many backlinks as me

    ????

    thanks

To increase ranks from yahoo is through the content density and back links.

Here's what I did: did my best to increase Google rankings and the Yahoo ranking just increased. MSN, too.
And I do not update my website frequently

I found the same too. As my google ranking improved so did my Yahoo rankings. My MSN rankings haven't faired any better but I'll see if over the next few weeks those rankings go up also.

It takes forever to move up in yahoo , just keep working and as time goes by you will see yourself gradually climbing up .

Well, work more on promoting for Google and you're Yahoo! ranking automatically jumps up because many of the factors for Google are common to Yahoo!

Anyway, even if Meta tags don't work anymore for Google, it still seems to work with Yahoo!

My blogspot blog has been up since early May, and since then I get almost 100 percent of my SE traffic from Google on long tail keywords (I have over 500 pages in my blog). Yahoo has only indexed my home page, and no inner pages. The weird thing is: Yahoo shows I have over 100 backlinks and Google shows I have none, yet almost all my SE traffic comes from Google--and I have no published PageRank.

MSN has only indexed my homepage and I get no traffic from them. I hope MSN and Yahoo start indexing me soon. In the meantime I will keep producing content and getting links.

Stuff your meta tags, upto the max. (165 characters?).
Use the same keywords in your content generously.

You can't do much about links, coz I am sure you have done your best to build your links.

If you think you are going to get very good revenues, why don't you do a paid submission to yahoo directory?

I think key word density of yahoo should be more when compared to google.
