My site is up for about 4 months. the last few days ago i was at the 6th page. around weekend. i was in the 9 place for 2 days : )
Today I'm back to the 6-7 page.

last week - 5,800,000 results, now: over 6,000,000

    How come?!

How can i make sure that I'm in a stable position on the first page (this is b4 ill start struggling for the top 5 and then the top 3 positions...)?

Please help, any tips and suggestion will come in handy.

    Thanks!

You can't do anything to stop Google jumping around like this, it happens to every site at some stage.

Just keep promoting it and it will stabilize in the future. Hopefully at number 1.

Google is experimenting a lot these day.
Just wait for a while and see what happen.

My friend, Don't worry about rank, just concentrate on link building as many as possible from the niche site. You will get the rank soon.

it's the Google dance! It is a headache I know, it seems like you take two steps forward and three steps back.

Sometimes these are trust issues, lake of authority domains linking in or too many links too quickly.

When it becomes a rollercoaster of page shifts rather than position shifts on the same page or within 10 positions, then it may be a issue to watch.

If its trust, you'll can jump 3 pages at a time up and down, then mostly down till you settle way down.

If its age, it will go back and forth and settle in between somewhere till you get it higher. Age is the easiest, just keep getting links to your site.

o.k. assuming its the link issue: too many too fast or something like that:

    1. what is the optimal rate (links vs day/week etc) make the link most efficient?
    2. assuming that there are too many - but one can still control them (as to remove them/change the specific landing page etc.) should one do it or should wait to see what happens or maybe even more to show consistency?

(I dont really think i added to many, and there are not from strong domains, i added few from relatively new blogs.)

There is no optimum rate, just make sure all the links are high quality and you don't have a problem.

I track the links to a lot of top blogs at http://www.blogstorm.co.uk/tracker.php and you can see that they get thousands to every post. Thats the reason they get good search engine rankings.
