own domain or .blogspot domain?

HI now that google does free hosting and you can forward your blogspot domain to your own .com domain, is it worth it?

or is it better to put all the files on your FTP and do it that way?

which of the 3 is best for seo or do they not really matter

1.use .blogspot
2.use ur own domain but google still hosts everything on blogger for free
3.use own domain and own hosting

While hosting for free, watch out for neighborhood sites. That is what sites are sharing your IP.

So having your own hosting with clean IP for sure helps in good SEO.

 

You'r kidding right?
First, i would buy my own domain: why? because, although the liklyhood of blogspot going offline is very slim, one day they can go offline and take YOUR domain down with them. therefor paying for an extra 5$ per year is not a prob.
Hosting - get your own hosting! you wanna be sucessful, you need to be pro!

why is wordpress better than blogger? and dont you have to pay extra for it to be able to customize the template?

 

If you're serious in what you're doing you will need your own domain + hosting.
It's not that expensive and you will have a complete control over your site.

 

I recommend always getting your own domain and hosting so that you are in control of you business and sites

doin it all yourself is best. but at present due to financial limits i own a load of domain names and url redirect them to a number of freeweb free sites.

 

You mean to say subdomains from blogspot?

I would prefer number 3, because starting from scratch is a good idea for you to avoid duplicate contents, using blogspot can be an option if you want free hosting and faster blogs.

 

Own domain is a better shot any given day .. !!

i' with #3! at least you know when will your services last..compare to blogger that has possible to be down...

 

People will take a site more seriously if it's on its own domain, therefore it's easier to get links to the site. It may take a bit longer to be indexed in google, but in the long run having your own domain has more advantages.

free hosting isn't the best. when people see that your actually paying for your own hosting , the site has more credibility. just my opinion...

 

for me, ill go for no. 3.. use own domain and hosting..

 

but theres no way in telling if its paid or free hosting

 

i think having your own domain and your own ip will give you better results
