I don't understand, Firefox is so much better, but my site gets 70% IE, and probably 27-28% Firefox, and then the other % is those other sucky browsers. But seriously, people gotta switch over, and that topic "7 Reasons the World is Going to End in 2012" is freaking me out!
Because IE comes with windows and most people either cant be bothered switching to FF, they simply don't know about FF or they cant see the difference between IE and FF.
FF takes a bit of effort to install - I think that's basically it. Laziness, ignorance or loyalty to the MS brand.
Exactly! This is the reason IMO why most of the people don't use FF because they don't have time to download firefox and install it . I myself sometimes use IE
No, there is another reason. IE is a rich text browser which does not involve the execution of any sort of activeX controls unless user permits, IE also uses internal Windows registry to write all those activeX control (which is bad if get infected with a Trojan) Firefox is a blank browser like Netscape which does not care if the information arriving should be parsed and shown to the user of not IE is still SECURE..Firefox many be fast .,,, its not secure .. even the SSL bridging has flaws..it doesn't check the parameter of the incoming traffic..
Why do people still use Intel and AMD processors, Why do people still use Windows. Because they are there and it's the path of least resistance to use them.
people use windows,,,because they got use to it. those people who still love to enter from DOORs are using some other OS ... basically windows is just a copycat.. LOL
nicely said.talvehtia. windows is getting better with VISTA .. lots of loop wholes have been covered.. the only problem is .. its become a memory hog..
It is what most people got use to and it hard to change the habit. I use both. I use Firefox for DP because I like to stumble and can do it quickly but I also have used IE for so long that it is hard to break the habit, so I use that for most other things. I also can only get dial-up and my ISP software only accelerates IE.
The new IE seems to be ok. I have to try it more though, but if that is ok I will change to that and only use FF for SEO/webmaster stuff.
I use IE because I like how I can edit HTML in it... and firefox it's harder to do so But for browsing it's FF all the way!
