From the posting guidelines: Don't "bump" threads and don't post duplicate threads.

    Hi all..

Just wondering if it is standard practice for sellers to end an auction in one hour via a post ..
Then some 5 hours later another post asking for higher bids..

I have watched dp forums and have held it in respect and there are and will always be I guess some ppl who try to make it hard for the serious users, both sellers and buyers
I really believe that people like this should be outlawed from such places as this, have a look at the link and see for your selves. He also says he is waiting to contact the highest bidder...
nNow I know that is not quite the case here also as tye highest bidder is mate of mine and has been online watching the posts going up and the stories changing... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=359464
    SAD BUT A FACT:confused:

It's not a matter of following simple instructions, but, here is the problem that I see.

    1) you are not suppose to put affiliate links, or links in posts.

so when someone asks a question such as how do I advertise or get more traffic.

what are you suppose to say, go see http://www.xxxx.xxx they can help you out, this is a violation.

or even, check out my site at http://www.xxxx.xxx is also a violation.

So how else are you suppose to get the information to the person that is asking for it. The only choice you have is for them to pm you or email you.

And if you just up and pm them for their comment on post, weither, they are truly serious about what you are saying or not then you can be hit with spamming them via messenging,

The best way to prevent spamming is to allow the person that is interested in a program or service is by letting them get ahold of you.

I know allot of sites, that would help allot of people out that i am not affilated with in any way shape or form, but I won't post their links on here. If someone wanted that information then they would have to get ahold of me.

Now, If someone were to say hey pm me for details and then that person doesn't respond with a pm within a certain amount of time, or pm that person but its totally not what that person said then there should be some sort of infraction for that. (bait and switch I call it)

So if someone has any ideas on how to get information out with out posting links, and or proof other than a pm, or even saying email me at XXXXX>XXX then I don't see what is wrong with this.

Or do I just mis understand the posting link thing meaning that
    http://xxxxx.xxx is wrong but MYSITE
is ok. (don't worry, these links are xxx.xxx.xx links and don't go no where and are just for example for better explaination on what is allowed or not allowed.

Always reference the thread you are PMing the person about.

    For example :
I think it will be obvious to the person you are PMing, that you are NOT spamming them.

If they ask a question regarding your thread then I believe you're allowed to reply, but replies like: Thanks! PM sent! etc will most likely receive an infraction. :)

nice, just recieved an infraction for posting in the wrong spot. I realized I did and put the post in the appropriate spot (programming instead of php). So according to this rule:

why was I given an infraction? Since it was a script I was asking to have made, isn't that programming anyways??

ACTUALLY I posted in the programming forum first and then into the php one as I learned the forum software is php based. The one in php is still there.
