    guys
I am currently negotiating on PR7 domain. The domain expired before few days and the guy want to sell it for me.

How much maximum should I pay? I am thinking no more than 150$. Do you think if I buy I can sell links on it ?

    Please give me advice?

If it is a real PR7 domain, it is worth musch more than $150.

A PR7 text link costs anywhere from $30 to $50/month. So you know, just by selling text links you can get your money back.

The site has to stay the same topic or pr will drop. Google redoes each domain after it is transfered. This means it checks all links and makes sure it is same topic before it gives rank back to that domain name. They also check how long you register name for and take that into account for page rank.

Google doesn't drop the PR if the domain keeps the backlinks, I have registred many expired domains and they keep the Page Rank. Of course the domains must to KEEP the backlinks.

Check if the PR 7 domains backlinks are in the websites, not only with link:domain.com in Google, make it + check if the backlinks ARE in the pages you can do it searching in the source code with FF :)

And if the domain has backlinks from high PR sites, yes buy it for 150 this is reallly CHEAP, but AGAIN, be sure about the backlinks If all is correct you can sell 10 links a month for $45 / $50 (each link) :)

    My 2 cents

    Best

If you want to sell the links I do not recommend you to buy it. Most people now would check whether it is a expired domain as google might reset its pagerank when it transfer to a new owner, everyone knows google itself is a domain registrar.

hundreds of links are no good if they are only PR2 PR3 PR4, you need high PR links.

And if you want to sell it again, talk to me.

Depends on the subject of the website. For some topics, there are few buyers for backlinks

That is cheap. If you do not want, I can consider it depending on what topic that site is for. Or if you wish to resell, do let me know as well. Again, it will depend on what topic the site is about.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't argue over the difference between $150 and $200 for a real PR7. I would check its Alexa ranking and do a "link:sitename.com" in Google to verify that it does rank well and does have backlinks. Has the seller provided any traffic stats? Do you have a plan to get revenue from the site? Is he selling the domain name only or the site & content?

If it is real PR7, then it will still be worth. So are you getting the entire package or just the domain name?

How exactly does one fake a PR? And where can I go to check if it's fake or not?

Actually, it's more important just to know how I can check for a fake PR...
knowing how to do it really doesn't concern me...

if a someone is selling a PR7 for cheap then there is something wrong, so make sure you check PR to see if its fake. You need to check the sites that are linking to this site see there ranking and PR
