Google search doesn't find sentences

I searched some sentences from my site, but can only find the very first sentence. The other sentences come up with "did not match any documents".
I can find sentences from the middle of other pages, but not mine.
    Why is this happening?

I'd take that as an indication that the pages the sentences are on aren't indexed (or rather: cached) by google.

Maybe your pages are just not indexed?

    My site is http://footballreporter.co.uk
If I search for my first sentence: "Reports on recent football matches", it finds my site. Any other sentence cannot be found; even from reports that are 2 weeks old. So google knows about my site, but can only find the first sentence.
What can I do about it?

Do you regularly submit a sitemap to google?

If you don't then it may struggle finding things fast enough.

I just checked and four pages of yours are indexed. That's pretty good for a two week old website. I search google for a sentence midway down your site and it found your site as well. All in all I think you have nothing to worry about. Keep up the work of updating the site, become active in soccer fora and get yourself some good relevant links.

I submitted it last night for the first time. If I understand correctly I only need to resubmit when I add a new page, not just after adding a few lines.

I have had this problem all the time.. Google does not bring accurate results for any sentence with 5 words or more. i never knew why.. but it looks like i can certainly find a helping hand from another experienced DP member..
    appreciate any responses..

I would have thought that the longer the sentence, the more likely it is to find just the one page you are hoping to find.
The strange thing is that I can search for part of a long sentence "football matches and an archive of some major tournaments" from the first line of my page http://footballreporter.co.uk, but I can't find
anything even if it is fewer that 4 or 5 words from the same page, such as
"clearance from Tarmo Kink" which is only 4 words from the Estonia England report. I can find all kind of sentences from other pages.
