Personally, I do not like .info which people could get for free or at $0.99, that make site low quality.

I heard .tm needs $xxxx to register and you should register at least for 10 years, any one would use .tm for a directory? :)

Thing is with .info is their the standard price to renew the following year, so if someone buys 200 and doesn't know about this then their in some difficulty the following year.

I knew of someone who bought 3000 thinking they will always be $0.99, ouch :)

LOL yes I have seen some domainers also do this. They do purchase .info in bulk and then there are threads about selling .info for $2 each.

Next day bump. and bump and bump. It has to be bumped atleast 100 times before selling them off.

3000 is a huge when it comes for renewal the next year.

Yeah, it would return to normal price to renew, but I feel few of them would renew  There are more .info expired every day than other domain extentions.

Also, .info directory might be easy to die for the same reason.

Nick_Mayhem, absolutely, its going to take a lot of work for them to try and get them off their hands.

Antonio, i know what you mean, their out to make a fast buck off them if they can.

    .info

Why not .info? I think .info is appropriate for directories, since directories are a source of information anyway.

.com of course, having a .net or another extension just looses traffic, if someone sees Directory Mix on a banner somewhere they might not click on it so if the directory is on a .net 90% of the time a person will go to the .com first so just loosing traffic sometimes even sales and they don't even bother trying to try other etx.

I think this one is the official registrar, a .tm directory would be more interesting, I feel. :D

I wish I would have picked a .com instead of my .ca when I started my first business site...

.com is universal... everyone knows what .com in even if you are not a geek :)

I use .com for all my international sites, directories don't make an exception. I cannot be yet convinced to accept anything else so far.

I prefer .com domains in just about all senarios...... There is some room for .net, .org, and sometimes even .info, but .info I only like if a site is destination related or strictly informational.
