Advice on selling a $20/day site

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by lapsaJ, Jun 9, 2007.

I have a site which is getting around $20/day, purely through adsense. How many months revenue should I consider selling for? I've seen varied sales from a few months to 24x months revenue, so unsure here.

This is $20 net profit. Traffic is organic. No maintenance required on the site.

    Any input appreciated, thanks. :)

It's only recently hit $20/day mark, used to be $10/day. The site is a couple of months old. Any rough estimations on price?

It depends on the site lapsaJ...
If it is a proxy site its different from a blog or an arcade site...
    Most common 10-12x .

For people who've been asking if I can create a similar site, it will take some work, but I'll do it for $500. I can't guarantee anything, but I'll go through the same processes I went through to get this site up and more popular.

If you are averaging constant $20/day from last 2-3 months then you can sell it for like 12 X .

Put your vacation on a credit card and pay it off monthly. Based on the information you provided, you jumped from $10/day to $20/day and yet your site has only been around for a few months. Seeing as how you saw a 100% increase in profits over a month or two and the site requires no maintenance...it seems a little odd that you would just sell it off now. Based on the progress you're making, you can probably get the site to make double that amount in a few months time.

my general rule when selling is, find out how much your blog is worth in a year, and the multiply it by 4

If it requires no maintenance, why sell it at all? Just create another site, after another... and soon their combined revenue is $200 per day. If it took just a few months to create this first, then why not spend your next couple of years to create more of these sites?

If it's $20 per day without maintenance... I wonder why sell it in the first place?
