New phpLD Payment System

Hi,

Just completed the first version of a new phpLD payment system. (will work for all phpLD versions)

This system is designed to help directory owners automate their submission progress as well as offer new features to your customers. It incorporates full use of PayPal IPN.

I will be installing this system for a only a few sites for its first week or so. Also, the payment form can be integrated with pretty much any phpLD template.

Pretty cool, i like it, a bit different and useful indeed. Looks tidy too.

 

Looks good! This is the way phpLD paypal payment system should work to begin with (using IPN). Sad that it takes a 3rd party mod to get it right. Will keep an eye on this as I am certainly interested.

I really like the idea to give power to user to choose number of sub pages "deep links"

Can you also add some feature so Price can be on per category basis?? (i.e. different price for different categories)
That is going to be a very useful addition.

Thanks for the response. Looks like I need to download IE7 afterall (It seems like the pulldown's are not working properly for IE7 users..will fix that issue ASAP.)

Perhaps in future upgrades this can be very doable. I'll keep this mind. Thanks.

Like my blog post said, this mod will be a work in progress and I'm open to any suggestions.

 

This is very innovative and interesting, I like the feature of submissions not showing unless they've been paid for. How would the pay per deep link sync with the deep link mod?

 

This is by far the best mod that been developed for the phpLd as it incorporates the best of the Paypal ipn & also the deeplink mod... & also allows multiple submissions...

Really a very nice mod & must install for every PhpLd.

 

Thats a great mod from what it looks at the first view.
I like the idea of multiple listing options and deep links option..

Would definitely like to add it. Looking for more comments.

The Javascript problem with the category select feature for only IE7 users has been fixed....Thank you Velocity for pointing that out.

The deep link fields will act like any other submission fields as usual....you can charge a individual price to them. For ex. $1.00 each sub page. If the user chooses to purchase 3, then it will add 3.00 to the total...and once paypal verifies the payment, it will add the submission info along with the 3 sub pages info to your database. This can then be viewed in your details page.

Yep, sorry, too early to say. It won't be too high (not a three digit figure thats for sure.)..

I chose a few directory owners to use the payment system first. Just as a double check that everything is working accordingly. I will wish for them to test for about 1-2 weeks. Once I install it for them and they have provide me feedback on how it works, then I will have a better idea. Even though I spent the last 1-2 weeks testing this thing on the PayPal developer's sandbox and Livebox, I still need to make sure it goes well on other servers.

 

LeopardAt1, its totally understandable, it looks very well thought out and put together, thats for sure, theres already lots of us interested so thats good for you.
