wats so good about it? Its just a send only account. :(

my country was also added to paypal it has a send only option. This account is just no use to me. All accounts should be send and receive other wise there is no use of paypal whatsoever for me.

Have to agree with that, send only account is pointless. Estonia has been in send only list for years and almost no one in Estonia uses it because there is nothing to do with it - they cannot pay in any Estonian shop with it and if you order from Amazon or some other international shop then paying via credit card is just easier. What is the point of opening another account just to use your credit card? It is not securer because longer chain has more places it can break (with credit card you only had to worry about your credit card information, with paypal you have to worry about credit card and paypal account). And it is not more comfortable - with credit card you just take it out from your pocket and insert few numbers and other details on the payment website, with paypal you first have to open up paypal account, then add your credit card and verify it (luckily that doesn't take much time nowadays because credit card statement is available online and updated almost instantly, so getting that code takes less than 30 seconds) plus if you want to be really secure you have to use extremely difficult password that you will never remember. And if that is not enough then you will also always have to guess whether the email you got from paypal is actually from paypal.
Actually the only thing that makes paypal better than credit card is that you can instantly send and receive payments within all allowed countries with rather small fees (for example bank transfer from Estonia to USA should cost around $30 and take a day or two, also accepting bank transfers on your website isn't as easy because, at least in Estonia, each bank has it's own gateway and if you want to accept payments from bank A and bank B then you have to have account in both banks), with send only account you cannot receive payments.

there is a website that lets of send a check to counties that don;t have paypal for free. You pay by your paypal account and then the person get the check way better. I think people that don;t have paypal in there country should do that!

careful logging into Ro using non-Romanian Registered Paypal account.

Paypal wil be looking specifically for this login/pattern to freeze account and keep your money, and wanting Govt ID / Utility Bill copies for their permanant records in Omaha Nebraska, plus also freeze your:eek: money :)

Now you just have the possibility to send money. So it still sucks. ;)

I've already started to blog about it, check out what I've screenshotted a bit funny about PayPal vs. Romanians here http://blog.mylol.net/2007/05/16/paypal-for-romania/ - It's obvious we'll stick to the TAG frauders for a long time.. /sigh

As for being a send-only account, it's okay, we can finally buy domains, links etc.. more easy, faster, without the need of any USA partner or any other 3rd party person. It's ok for the moment..

That's fine as long as you use the web to spend your money on and aren't earning from it cause if you were, then you'd probably find the send-only option pretty unconfortable. Even discriminatory if you wish. Paypal will still collect their commission from send-only countries but then what about giving them a chance to do fair business through PP? So it's not quite ok I should say :)

Yes , it is very one sided, and has been made blatantly clear and obvious. Paypal needs Romanians for only ONE purpose. :(

I m not just talking about romania, a lot of countries listed in the send only section is very poor. paypal needs to look into it. Its as if paypal just listed those countries for namesake only. the users in those countries are really suffering. I m one of them.
