Helps in what sense? TinyURL is a link shortening & redirecting service... It has no SEO value and cant imagine how you where thinking of using it? Changing your internal navigation to show Tinyurl links?

    Tinyurl is having PR8 !
But normally it creates a redirection for ur site.
Just adding ur site to some database and that id is given to u !

TinyURL creates a redirection from their domain, tinyurl.com

You're hoping that having a link situated on tinyurl have some google value, so when it redirects to your page it'd get some google ranking as well.

However, this isn't the case. I don't even know if it is 301 redirect...But if it is, you could get some ranking only if people link to the redirect.

Just because the site is a PR8, it isn't just going to help to increase your pagerank

Tiny URL was created to make it easier for people to bookmark sites - it was never intended for SEO.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but the way you say it makes it seem like tools are always made specifically for SEO...DP Co-Op was never made for SEO, but what do most people use it for now?

I think you have the wrong idea of why its used. It's good for linking in forums and such, instead of:

    www.kjhfdkjhfdlkjdfh.com/kjsfdhfsgh...ds/lkjdfsahfdljkh/lkfdshklshdldsa/lidsfhlfkj/

    its' tinurl.com/kjhdfkh

And its also used here in this forum to link to something you DON'T want indexed... such as your website for sale link.

I know what your thinking with PR of tinyurl but it doesn't work like that, redirects don't pass PR, and even if it did they would have no-follow rules applied to them I'm sure.
