As you might or might not be aware according to islam the man who died on the cross was not Jesus but an impostor!!! yes an impostor. so who was he? did Jesus pay him to die for him? was he like a stunt?
And what happened to Jesus? Did he go abroad with mary magdalene and their son? ( the jews could have kill the child if they had found out he was the son of Jesus)

LOL....Why would an impostor want to die on the torture stake instead of Jesus? It does not fit with the rest of the Bible's teachings. Does not fit at all.

I think many of us are aware of that by now. It's one of the many reasons Islam is a silly religion.

The Islamic beliefs regarding Jesus the Christ (annointed one) of God are not derogatory towards him in any way.

Here's a transcript of a talk on Jesus by a leading Yemeni Islamic scholar

Jesus Christ The Son of Mary and His Blessed Mother

Why would the Jews kill the son of Jesus if he was not the Son of God like they said he wasn't?

If Jesus had someone take his place then he deliberatly went against God's will. He didn't just deceive the people. He deliberatly tried to deceive God. That's an insult to Christ and very derogatory. It's an insult to Jesus to make him out to be so stupid that he'd really think God didn't notice that he didn't die like he was supposed to. It's an insult to Jesus to say he didn't really love us enough to die for us even though he said he did.

It takes a very silly religion to turn Jesus into a con-man and then claim it's not an offensive claim to make.

I keep telling Muslims to stop going on about this and yet here we are again and they wonder why nobody takes them seriously.

the problem is that these people only listen to what their crazy imam's tell them, whether it is truth or not. In some ways I hope I am around when Jesus comes back to prove them all wrong.

And how do you know what God's will was? As Muslims we cannot believe a Prophet can deliberately go against God's will. We believe whatever he did was God's will.

No Muslims believe he was the Annointed One (Messiah) of God and he was lifted alive to the heavens and he lives and will return.

Jesus himself said it was God's will.

I guess you reject a good number of the prophets of the OT then. Including Moses.

How do you know if a prophet is doing God's will if you don't know what God's will is?

We do not believe that the four gospels accurately portray the message of Jesus.
No, we reject as false the stories about them which imply that they deliberately went against God's orders.

so your saying that the knowledge your supposed prophet gave several hundred years after the death of Jesus is more believable than the gospels which were written less than 100 years after his death?

Obviously Muhammad is a prophet and his word is true. He said he was a prophet and prophets can't lie.

Duh. It's like logic and stuff.

In a way the Islamic version of what happened to Jesus makes more sense, if we were to assume the close father & son relationship. God could not have left his son to be tortured and eventually killed. After Jesus calls for help, his father did indeed come to the rescue. It was made to appear to the people that it was Jesus on the cross, but god had already intervened and replaced him with look-a-like person. So basically god saved him and raised him to heaven where he is now nearer to god until his return.

It was all part of the big plan, god wanted that. So the Quranic version is just as valid as any other biblical version.

Taqiyya and Kitman of its finest, with a breeze of suicide in the first post and here above.

When your god is so wise why should he have a need for blinding people?
