I am selling one of my most recent projects, Unending.Info.


As you can see, the site is running pretty slow on my server. That is the main reason I am selling. With over 191,000 pages in the index my server isn't handling it that well.

What sort of space does it take up?
What sort of hosting do you need?
Any revenue?

 

The database takes up quite a bit of space. I am having trouble getting into the cpanel, but once I do I'll get you the actual amount of space it's taking up. I'm not really sure what sort of server you want to run this on.

So far I haven't saw any revenue from the AuctionAds that I've put up, but auction ads takes awhile to update. I also haven't done much promotion at all.

2744.73 Megabytes

Of course, when you move the database you can choose to index the pages yourself so it won't be as large.

What script is it running?

 

Yeah, the server can't handle it, which is the main reason I am selling. My server was doing fine until I got to about 75,000 pages.

I'm going to keep the script private between the buyer and myself. Still waiting for that $50 starting bid. If you're worried about the site not being able to run successfully on your server, you could always remove some of the index or just build an all new index with your favorite sites (a great way to promote your own sites!).

I think potential bidders need to know what the script is so that they can check whether it will run on their server or not. If it's a freely available script (even if you have to pay for it), you should let us know.

Yes, you can remove sites from the index. I'm not sure how many sites are currently indexed because I just let the spider roam and as long as it found links to new sites it just kept indexing. However, I can tell you there are over 190,000 pages indexed.

If you have PHP and MySQL on your server you will be able to run this script. That is all that is required. If something comes up after you purchase the site and you cannot run the script on your server we will be able to work something out. Please do not let this effect your bidding, as I do not believe it will be a problem at all

I am running the site on a server from BuyAVPS.com. It was a special plan they had setup for DP users. If I can find the thread that I bought the hosting off of I'll post it.

The reason this search engine is unique is because you can set it up to index whatever you want. That means you can also target a certain audience, which makes it much easier to market. Also, this search engine comes SEO ready with SE friendly URLs. With a better server (or less pages indexed), search engines will eat this page up and your results will be in their indexes, which can lead to more traffic = more revenue.

Unending.info is database driven (MySQL). It does not use Google API.
