    I have 7 infractions :(

I do not want to risk being banned, and so I have been trying to stop gaining any more until they are all expired, so I don't get in trouble.. how many results in a ban? I really do not want to get banned :(

A good way to avoid being banned is to stop posting.

I'm just wondering if infractions can be reversed if you broke the TOS by mistake because you messed up with the browser by pressing the back button and realised that it made you produce two duplicate threads so you then written about it in a post in that thread before you actually got the infraction and then the mod didn't see your thread post and then ended up giving you an infaction after your appology post was created which included you telling the mod where you went wrong and if they could kindly correct the error for you by merging the 2 threads?

That's great, I asked as I'm a good forum user and always try to keep to the TOS of any forum I use, but sometimes you can make an error and get an infaction. Anyway thanks for letting me know.

well, I did not know that after 10 infractions, you would be banned...

I got 4 infractions in a row for bumping a thread in the sell domain... I didn't even get at least ONE as a warning, instead I got 4. I think from the same user too...

the bumps were 24 hours apart too.

isn't that kind of unfair? well, whatever. the user didn't even leave his name.

4 infractions for one bump, or 4 bumps? or (gasp) you weren't bump deleting were you??

Anyway, regular old users like us can't issue infractions, only mods can do that.

That's the problem some times is that you can be a member of so many forums and most of them has general rules that you most probably know as most forums use similar rules. But there is always 1 or 2 that you will join that has something that all the rest of the forums do not have. Now although you read the rules, you may have missed that rule by mistake and if you are new and post about 20 posts and because of that rule that you broke you could get a ban on your first day because they will not give a penaulty for one of the posts, they will do it for each one. That happened once to me around 6 years ago when I first started using forums.

Personally I don't think it is very clear when you get an infraction.

When I got my infraction I had no warning, it was pure luck that I bumped into my profile page to find it.

I think receiving a PM at the saem time to tell you would clear things up.
