hi. i have a PR 5 Dmoz listed Britney Spears Fansite.
I received about 400 uniques per day from google for keyword "britney Spears" which i rank on page 4.
Will submitting to yahoo directory would improve my traffic?
    What if i get denied?
    Any experience?
    Thanks a lot

If you can get you site listed here http://dir.yahoo.com/Entertainment/Music/Artists/By_Genre/Rock_and_Pop/Spears__Britney/
    I would submit.

The "if" is because I don't know what is the Y! policy regarding blogs (not sure if they have a category specific for blogs).

I would change the wording on the homepage to "Britney Spears Fans" and would submit with this anchor text.

You will enter the queue at page 2 of that Y! cat, but the sites are ordered by popularity; with a little help , you can move to page 1, which Google spiders frequently.

If you can get listed at that page, and with the right keywords, I bet you would move a few pages up in Google; the upwards movement is slow (several months) though.

the site that the last poster stated was a PR5 which was pretty good. Yahoo Dir does not really work for us as ours is a Pr2 :-P

I would highly consider it but first follow all the free avenues.

    Yahoo directory isn't free
Google directory is using DMOZ data.

    I won't pay $300 for a review on Yahoo.

Yahoo has a free option as well, although it takes ages, it's worth it to submit.

Yahoo is expensive, you could submit to 15 high rated PR directories with featured links with the money and get more traffic and more PR.

I don't see any reason why it would hurt. Go ahead and submit it to as many places as possible :).
