I certainly agree with you. Also, I would like to add by saying that one cannot just kill (Abort ) a child just because suddenly they decide not to have a baby. Its too late by then and this act of killing (aborting ) is certailly not acceptable be me.

I understand that there are women like that - and it's sad. But rather than outlaw abortions (which women will still attempt to obtain illegally), these women should be educated about safe sex practices.

WIC and food stamps are part of the welfare program, and as far as I'm aware, you are only allowed to have welfare nowadays for a maximum of 5 years. I don't think they continue to give you welfare for each child you have - once you've used up 5 years, you are done.

A friend of mine's cousin was on welfare with her child (she was your stereotypical welfare mother, unfortunately.) Unfortunately again, she has had multiple abortions and is the type of woman who doesn't understand that using condoms and other methods of birth control NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

These women need to be educated - but sadly, some women will never learn, regardless. Thankfully however, I believe that most women do not use abortions as a quick fix, but rather after long and careful deliberation about the best choice for them.

I apologize if some of this post doesn't make sense - I recently rescued a puppy and he has been keeping me up non-stop! As such I am a bit exhausted :p

Most women don't use abortion as birth control but 93% of 46 million yearly abortions are done as a form of birth control.

And yes, welfare has been much more restricted now. It had to be because it was so abused.

My wife looked into government programs when she got pregnant and they were nice enough to pretend I was a dead beat and went with her income only (part time job, full time student). So we didn't pay for any of the medical costs of having the baby. But they cut her off the free health care after a year (basically long enough for the pregnancy and a few months extra) and will only cover the baby for the first year.

I don't feel bad about it because I know how much money the state university has basically stolen from me so they got paid.

I think abortions would happen a lot less if women had a better support system and were more educated on what is available to them. Having a baby seems like a very expensive and daunting task. It's not.

Having a child IS expensive and daunting!

Yes, having a strong knit support system around you can make it easier, but that doesn't change that once you have a child you devote your entire life to that child. It's not cheap. It's not "easy."

And just to clarify, this comment is not related to abortion whatsoever, merely the comment about how it's apparently simple to have a baby.

I didn't say it's simple but it's a lot less costly and difficult than we imagined before the baby was born.

It's plain out wrong. There is nothing right about pro-choice. If you were raped and don't want the kid then adoption is the answer. If you were not raped then you knew the consequences of having sex so deal with it. Abortion is murder. You can try to deny it all you want but murder is murder.

It's also incredibly ridiculous that the father has no say at all in if the child is murdered.

I don't believe you have the right to tell people their beliefs are wrong. Just my two cents.

Well I don't believe people have the right to kill others. Why cant I use pro choice to kill people who I dislike. It's my choice. Pro-choice!

There's a way to state your beliefs without putting down the beliefs of others. For example, I disagree with you but nowhere did I say your beliefs were wrong.

I didn't put down their beliefs. I stated facts. Its a fact that it is murder. Its a fact that fathers also have no say whatsoever.

It's not a fact that it's murder - according to the current law. It's your BELIEF that it's murder. There's a difference.

No lol. It is a fact that it is murder. Murder is when you kill another person. Abortion is doing just that. So it is in fact murder.
You can't use the argument that it is not living because as soon as the sperm fertilizes the egg it is alive. Therefore if you kill it then you are committing murder.

i dont agree with abortion and i do believe that it is murder and that the child is alive from the moment of conception but it is also an individual choice that each woman has to live with

You can disagree all you want but it just says you are lacking a little in the common sense section and that you know very little about growth and development.

I was def anti abortion until my gf was raped by a close family friend. Someone who she spent alot of time time with( here tennis coach) for it being the fact that shes 16 I felt that she should have an abortion. But shes is going to carry the baby and she found a home for it before the baby was even born

We have six children from 18 down to 2 - I think what Kalvin is saying is correct, it is easier than people tend to make it, but it does have a cost - you.

You have to give up serving yourself to serve your children in order to raise them well.

abortion is a murder, give a child a chance to live like our mothers do to us, they give us the chance to exist.
