CHELSEA, Vt. (AP) - A prosecutor has dropped charges against a woman who was arrested for staring at and making faces at a police dog. "Prosecuting a woman for `staring' at a police dog is absurd," said her lawyer. "People are allowed to make faces at police dogs and officers to express their disapproval. It's constitutional expression," said public defender Kelly Green, who represented Jayna Hutchinson. Hutchinson, 33, of Lebanon, N.H., was charged with cruelty to a police animal and resisting arrest after a July 31 incident in West Fairlee in which police were called to a market to investigate a report of a brawl. Bwahaha. The most ridiculous things. I can't seem to understand the depth of stupidity that can be taken authoritatively.
You have to understand. It many parts of the Western world, childless people are considering their dogs to be their kids. But than again, in other parts of the world dogs and cats are served ala carte or as part of a combo plate.
Lol, but this is a police dog. This isn't someones dog, it's more of a.. shared dog. The cops have their doughnuts to care about. I doubt they'd care enough to worry about a dog's "emotional distress".
The Police Officer made his department look like idiots. The Police knew that they would not charge her for that. Imagine now everyday he will be teased about it from his fellow workers.
Ya this stuff is crazy. American cops are out of control. Lots of them are good people, but many of them are drunk with power and authority. When I was a teenager I use to get pulled over a lot for nothing. I know it was for nothing because they never gave me a ticket, they just wanted to bother me. So in the course of getting pulled over for nothing I heard more times than I can count "if I see you again tonight you're going to jail".
@ the person talking about dogs being eaten. In the western world we eat cows. In the eastern world there are people threating them as gods...
And before this we all thought were geniuses I've honestly never had a bad experience with the police. Not here (in Australia), not in Europe, not even in the USA. But if a police officer can't handle a drunk woman making faces at their dog, they should be given something a lot simpler to do.
uh..that is just so ridiculous. i think everyone involved should have to pay a fee for wasting my time and tax money with this nonsense.
How can a person be prosecuted for an action like that. Are ther no other important things to to in this world?
It's seems that police officer needs to go back to training. He needs to learn how to deal with his ego you know: (don't sweat the small things).
It's kinda weird to make face on a dog! But i don't think the lady should be arrested for such gesture!
