I had someone try to sell my useless traffic to my site (not even people probably), but he told me that it would help increase my rating with ALEXA. So this makes me wonder, what does a good ALEXA rating even do for someone? I saw someone who has an alexa rating of 98,000 and only gets 5,000 hits per month... Is it just for status or does it actually help to drive traffic to your site by having a better rating? Easier to find? what?? thanks
ALEXA result is a kinda useless and unreliable tools. it only based on surfer who use alexa toolbars. i got low ranking but just because none of my visitor might use their toolbar. so dont trust it much...
When you buy a site and someone says they have good alexa rank, always check where traffic comes from. They buy traffic so it gives good alexa, then they can sell for a big price. Alexa is unreliable, it only counts those with the toolbar....
Alexa is giving you just an estimated number of your visitors. It's not very accurate but can give you an idea of the traffic a given site is getting.
I think alexa is good if you want to compare sites to each other. Even if the stats isn't 100% reliable i still like it.
Nobody wants alexa for its reliability. Its basically for getting advertisers. The only thing they can look at before advertising on your site is alexa.
