I spend $0.00 to get hits...other than what I spend for Hosting Fees & Domain Names. I did splurged recently and bought Expressions Web Designer from Microsoft. A computer to run it on...a desk..a chair...and on and on.
You can spend nothing if you get good backlinks (through link exchange) with similar themed websites and write some articles. Then you'll have good SERP position and get the hits for free.
I can spend no more then $200-$300 for this thing on a site Buying Links and stuff but I got no need to because I get the links Naturally Anyways I do spend on things like Redesigning and other Secondary stuff
I'm getting +10,000 unique visitors per day on one of my sites, and I've spent aprox. $1,000 buying permanent links, and aprox $80/month for semi-permanent links. That links are for homepage or 1st level pages. Also I have many exchange links for 2nd level pages. All links are from related sites. That site is on Google top10 for many keywords.
I get more than 10,000 uniques per day and other than server costs and a failed Adwords experiment about a year ago, I dont spend anything.. it's all natural baby!
thats a question with a ton of answers.. getting 10,000 uniques per day can come free or can come high priced.. depends on your site and effort.
I doubt he pays something more than $500/mo (per server). I say per server because i believe he uses more then one server. But yet, who cares how much costs, as long as everything gets repaid.
Get good content and visitors will come to your site. You don't need to spend much money to get visitors if you have a quality website.
You can spend $10,000 and still not hit that many visitors or you could get double that. You could then spend $0 and get more than that. It depends on how you go about doing the advertising.
If you have a very original idea or you're very good in what you're doing I don't think you will need some serious budget Maybe $1000-$2000 at most.
That's the way I like, naturally. Maybe you could share with us how long till you reach that number, and how to do it.
I dont spend anything, I get around 50 000 visitors a week. I run a site with alternate type of news, and regularly post my articles on sites like digg.com, shoutwire.com, netscape.com etc, and that does the trick. If you get up on the frontpage on sites like that you are guaranteed a huge amount of visitors, dont be surprised if you get 20 000 in a day. All I spent is 11 dollars for registration of my domain, and 6 dollars a month for the webspace. Thats for my most successfull site though, i run many sites on different domains with a nice variety of topics, but the rest is run on free webspace where i only paid for the domain names so basically I spend very little money, but I receive plenty.. hehe
I'm not having a go at anyone here, but this thread is messed up. He/she want's to know how much he/she shoud spend to get 10,000 a month. What's that? Is it $10k, is it 10k uniques, is it 10k page views.... If it's uniques, then the amount you have to spend depends on your site. If your site is poorly designed then it will cost you probably more than $1,000, spending less than that you are more likely to receive untarggeted traffic or fraudulent advertising traffic. If your site is viral then it can cost $1,000 or so and your sites traffic will keep increaseing once you even stop spending a few months after words. If your site is a niche that not many are interested then you will need to spend more as less people are likely to return back to your site and if you have a popular niche then that is better for getting returning visitors. Also the design, quality and content on the site also makes a difference when it comes to returning visitors.
