Editing an Old post

Okay,
I have this a post/thread of mine, which I started a week ago.
Now I need to edit the opening post of the thread.
Is this possible? if yes what to do?

You can't edit your post after some time. I think it's something like 6 hours.
Maybe you can ask a mod if there is a good reason for editing it ? (not sure)

May be you should ask some mod to close that thread and open a new thread for it
You can edit a Post within 8 Hours
You can Edit a Thread Title within 5 Minutes

 

Can the mods actually help me on that? I am afraid of infractions if I bother them..

 

Don't know. I asked one once (when I was new here) he didn't give me an infraction (but he didn't edit the post neither because he didn't judge it necessary).
It's up to you, but I guess you need a real good reason for asking it.

I have used the "Report Post" button..and told the mods my reason.
I hope they help me..

 

Well thread is still active and have some importance than you can report to Mod team and they will make changes.

 

Also, dont report eveyr post saying that you want this edited that edited or you'll have an infraction for abusing

 

Yeah..I know, but this is the first time I have asked for something like this..

 

yes, it is. But mods dont have that much patience that they'll allow you for second time
