I think a load of athletic Googler's (as opposed to the Googleplex pie eaters) have been out on their mountain bikes with video cameras strapped to the front! More about Street View on Google Maps.

 

I figured it would just extremely low altitude satellites

It's the coolest thing I've seen in awhile.

 

Google bought a photo imagery company last year.

I forgot what the name was... but that is where they get the images.

 

Yeah it's really good. I think they got these pics from the hightech satelites of google rotating around the world.

 

but right now its only the US, wonder when theyll have Indian china etc

 

I knew Google would take over the world soon. It's a conspiracy!
