    wow lol that really is quite ugly...looks fairly simple as well...I think the olympic commity should come onto digital point and get a template made for 200 bux that is 10000 times better....I imagine there budget is not an issue lol

    :eek::eek:

    I'm not a brander, but I'm sure I could have created a logo as ugly as this one for a lot cheaper.

    this got to be a joke. No real olympic committee would allow a site to advertise the olympic spirit this way. It really is ugly :)

    I would agree that it is the ugliest Olympic logo I have ever seen. What were they thinking? I saw on the news this morning that this commercial caused approximately 30 seizures! They are debating if the commercial followed the standards.

    wow with as much funding as the Olympics have you would think it would be better than that. Maybe some flash..? The site doesn't even look like it could handle more than 20 visitors on it with out crashing

    I think the logo is great (please don't flame me!) and I have to say that the FEE is probably correct as well.

    When you consider that the fee will include ALL rights for the marketing of the logo in all forms and was probably designed by one of the top 4-5 design companies in Europe (the other 4 will have tendered as well) then that is probably the going rate for the job.

    YES we can all say we can design something better and maybe 2-3 of you probably could but you are not in the position to be able to even pitch your designs.

    I am sorry but success breeds success and you have to pay for that success!

    Years ago when the National Lottery was started in the UK, the logo was lampooned as a non-starter as well. It is now probably one of THE most instantly recognised logo's in the country and needs no text for people to understand it.

    I believe this logo will in time be the same.

    Once again, I like it, its like a relay runner waiting for the batton, it spells 2012 and says what it is - IMHO!!!
