I am looking for good ideas of things that I can sell on my site, no I am not talking about ppc ads or affiliate programs I am talking about things like, shirts, books, services, etc. For example now shoemoney.comnow has his own store and he is making money but my problem is that I do not not what to sell on my sites. For example I have a "recipes" website, I would like to sell something that I can make and sell it to my visitors but I do not know what product to come up with, shirts? books? recipe books?. I would like ideas on what stuff can be sold on your website "via paypal", real stuff that I can take to the post office and ship to my customers.
Good luck. I prefer to stay away from the post office -- who wants to be chained to that? You'd be better off selling something off of another site and marking up the price. Or, you could sell a recurring subscription via Paypal instead.
Keep growing your site for online revenue. Work on getting a higher conversion rate and traffic rather than selling other crap. But... I don't know your site... perhaps there is a good product niche out there for you?
You can try www.cafepress.com. You dont have to create or post a single thing. Just come up with a little design or trademark of your site and embedded the cafepress code on your site. But I dont know if people really would want to buy it. Anyway, you know your website and your visitor the best so good luck to you
think about whatever you are most interested in and then find wholesalers or dropshippers, but i suggest to do market research first, e.g. is the product you have in mind in-demand? is there a good profit margin? what's your competition... you can find lots of types of products on my site www.pspdropship.com , the prices are ok if you do retail, we will handle all the shipping and customer service.
But you do need a good lot of creativity and your site or your product needs to be popular before effectively monetizing with cafepress
Is it a good idea to make a poll on your site to see what kind of products they need or looking to buy? If your site is about the recipes i will recommend selling a recipes books or recipes ebooks. that should go along with the site content. ^^
Thats a great point And all the business where people actually have to move around and work in the real world..... should shut down and then we can all sit behind the monitor and never go out......
Why don't you actually cook the recipes on video then sell a subscription to the videos (for a small price - $10 a year, you'll have to test different price points) - offer some sort of give-away for free to get signups to get you started. Also throw a few (designated free videos) up on YouTube to drag in some organic traffic. Contact the companies that sell the certain products you use to cook with both food and cookware and ask them if they want to advertise. You'd probably have more luck with cookware, I'd hook up shoemoney's Auction Ads and use the keywords cookware, cooking, etc...so you get paid when someone bids on the stuff related to cooking. Make some funny t-shirts related to cooking and do Cafe press - it would be better if you had some made and got them locally for $3-5 a piece and marked them up to $9.99 to $12.99. Your stuff is wide open, but has a lot of competition. The key to your stuff will be selling it with personality. You need some type of schtick. good luck
Sem-Advance, the time allotted to building a robust business means that time spent at the post office will only add to the length of your day. There is no fear that the world will come to a halt simply because someone has efficiently mastered buying, selling, and trading online. There will always be people working "traditional" jobs -- working online means finding a way of doing things better, easier and faster without having the business own you.
Why look for something that you hvae to physically ship. The beauty of selling on the web is virtual product fulfillment which allows you to make more and more money without increasing overheads
