Hey, I am wondering about the following ... it regards blogs and SEO ... It may be a very simple answer to some, but I need to know for sure ... I am developing a blog wich has a frontpage listing of different articles. Now, I understand that SEO is actually optimizing pages .... So that means I have to optimize each article in the blog, ofcourse using the right keywords and so on ... right ? Second thing is this : The front page of a blog usually lists different articles .. Now not all these articles are exactly about the some topic ... Meaning that the keywords could be 'off' ... this logically means that it's almost impossible to optimize a blogs frontpage ... is this correct ? If yes .... then what things CAN I do to minimize non-optimization ? Third thing is ... some blogs out there have categories wich range from tshirts to space invader gaming .... Does this mean that these blogs rely only on the article optimization in order to be found ? And is it true that these blogs have overal lower ranking then for instance a blog wich has categories wich fall under 1 topic ? And finally, Since the frontpage of a blog constantly changes with new posts ... what does this mean for the frontpage in terms of optmization ? Impossibly to be indexed that fast no ? Regards, -FOP-
you've said that your blog is focused on the listings of different articles, right? i suggest you create different categories where you can group related articles so that it'll be organized.. if you're updating your site regularly and does have fresh contents every google visit,, it can probably indexed faster,, imo..
Create a label for your post so that each topic can be categorized. If your blog has fresh content and you have an account in google webmaster tools your site can be indexed quickly.
