not all of them. it depends on what type of art you are in to... for me going to museum to see some art is boring! but sometimes its fascinaing,,as they say its in the eye of the beholder..
yeah some stuff I don't get or find boring but other stuff is great like the egyptian exhibits at the met They have like mummies and stuff
Art is never boring. But only creative people with a creative attitude will appreciate art.But you must not cross your moral limits in the name of "Art"
It would be the same as if I said "food is boring" Art is food for our thoughts food for the body and flesh
I didn't say all art is boring. Some artists manage to not be idiots who make oversized polished turds. But when you look at a piece of trash that someone calls art and wonder why it's so boring, you can realize that most artists are very far left and the communist influence comes to light. Just look at the new Olympic logo. It's formless and stupid and yet it was accepted as "art." Art requires some sort of form to have meaning. Communism wants people to believe that formless art has some deep meaning to it. They want people to believe that banging on a piano is music. Why? Because if you can believe a polished turd is art, you'll pretty much believe anything. And there is no shortage of "artists" that will "bang on a piano" and call it art. And there's no shortage of people that will actually pay to see it.
dude just face you it you have no taste or culture, have you ever been to ANY art museums? Do you even know anything about art? art history, art theory, have any type of favorite art or artist? lol, that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard
I like celtic art, but no art is worth obssessing about. For the most part artist have no talent whatsoever. Especially those so called abstract geniuses.
Ferret, if you call formless garbage "art" then you have no culture or taste. You've just brainwashed yourself into buying into their bs. It is the communist goal that art be formless and meaningless. People who make a a living off formless and meaningless art are following the communist line. Maybe they're not consciously aware of it but they are the type of people that the communist party would find ideal. Art is the indicator of what society finds beautiful. If you destroy art then there are no standards for beauty. If you destroy religion then there is no basis for morality. Is it surprising then that hippies (most of whom think communism is fantastic) find the "natural way" (being filthy) beautiful? The only thing genius about abstract artists is that they get people to pay money for their trash. Of course there are levels of abstractness. Not all of it is entirely formless. Some abstract art could actually be considered art.
I think it also is about effort. Someone who puts in hours of time slaving to make something versus splattering a board for two seconds makes a difference to me. If a kindergarten student spent an hour drawing a house that looks lopsided I am more likely to call that art than someone who grabbed finger paint (as an adult) and splattered it on a blank canvas in two minutes.
A few months ago in Mexico an artistic photographer took a photo of like a thousand nudes all together (can't remember exactly how many people but it was a lot). It was planned out months in advance and all these people volunteered to be in his picture and met at this big park. He won something like the world guiness book of records for the most nudes in all in one photo. I think that was art.
I think it is about generosity, more than anything else. As an artist, you go in, but you give over - you want to share something that matters. I may not appreciate many artistic things, but if I sniff it was done with a heart that wants to share something of worth, I will forgive and applaud the effort. With so much of what I personally witnessed, in experimental theatre, it was a selfish creation, designed for no one but the "auteur" creator. It was onanism, and I say, if you want to masturbate, do so in private and leave everyone else out of it. This is really the only criterion by which I judge art.
IMO art is something you need talent to create. You don't need any talent to take a picture of a few thousand naked people
Photography is my favorite form of art. Really I feel it does take enormous talent to be a good photographer. It is not just a matter of snapping a picture. It is knowing all the settings of the camera, shades and lighting, being able to envision the feeling you are wanting to create and knowing how to make it all happen. It is real and you are capturing a moment in time that will never be here again. I found a book of photography from the great depression and they were such beautifully sad pictures that I could really feel in my heart. I don't feel the same passion about other art I see, but we all are touched by different things.
yeah photography isn't just snapping pics, go snap some pic sand then compare them to a real photographer, the difference will be obvious
