My grandfather and I were talking the other day, and he was saying what BS comparing the present "war" to the world wars was. You know in the last world war, pretty much the whole country was in on the war effort. If you were an able body man you would be in the service, if you were an able body female there was a good chance you would be buidling munitions etc.

There was food rationing, and my grandmother as a little girl would take turns manning the tower at her school to look for enemy planes. There was draft and tens of thousands would die in one battle.

If you think we are in WWIII you are either an idiot or need to read some history books, or maybe both.

I need to renew it this year. I've been to Italy (that is where most of my family lives), France, England, Scottland, St. Lucia, Germany, Ireland... Should I go on? Aside form asking people to buy bonds, FDR enacted price controls, asked farmers to produce more, asked people to conserve... FDR asked more of Americans than Bush ever has in terms of sacrifice.

Either way, it is quite evident that the American economy has grown more under Bush than it ever did under Clinton, or FDR, combined!

The US has a load of weapons based here in the UK, as well as the UK's own missiles etc. so, if anyone does attack it hopefully wont be us (unless they want retalliation).
