I do not think if you do it results will go up. Sound slike you read the more people click on link the higher the page will be listed. It also takes into account how long they stay on your site and it is for unique clicks not hundreds of same person clicking on site.

Google use the CTR of your site (for each keyword). It also look after ppl who come back to Google afterward (it's bad)

    i could possibly disagree here

i think that having your website clicked on can affect your ranking but not as much as link creation and a myriad of other SEO work

This is true if you have personalized search turned on. If you search you keywords and keep visiting your site Google will rank your site higher BUT these results are only seen by you, (personalized search) so their is no real value in doing it.

no. of click will not really make your SERPs higher. Traffic might but not really the no. of click of it. (umm sound confusing?) orelse they might already have people hiring coder to keep clicking they links already. :D

It affects your results if many different people do this but not of one person does this over and over. You will see a spike in your page ranking if several unique IPs search for your keyword and click on your site. Of course the spike could be short lived and level back out when traffic slows down.

I don't think so. Usually, to increase the Google ranking you have to advertise your website on other pages, Google doesn't help you.
