Ok i'm trying to park a domain name. basically i have a domain name that is linked to a website, and i need to take my website down to make some changes. so i want to park my domain name and say "down for maintenence". now i've logged into godaddy and here is what i see: Status: Active (Refresh Page) Protection: Inactive (Upgrade) Locked: Locked (Change) Registered: 4/4/2007 Expires On: 4/4/2008 (Renew Now) Auto Renews: Off (Change) Whois Type: Standard (Upgrade) CashParking: Disabled (Change Status) Authorization Code: Send by Email Now i can't use Cash parking because i need an account. i dont wanna account cuz i have to pay. So how can i un-link my domain name from going to my website and make it say "website offline for maintenence" when ppl browse to my domain name???
Why don't you sign up with a better parking provider that doesn't charge you to park names? As far as I know, Godaddy is the only one that charges people to park names when they make revenue off it as well! If interested, check out my sig link for Parking Panel. I've used other companies like Sedo, but they're pay very very little
And thats why you use Godaddy and pay a few bucks I'm in godaddy first two weeks and I have almost $100.00 earned
They moved that function to the nameserver section. To go to the standard parking page just select the parking nameservers. If you are staying at your old host you can just put up a temp page of your choosing named index and keep the site live behind that screen. On most servers index.html will override index.php.
Okay well post some proof before making claims like that Ohh and whats that say in your sig link ??? Godaddy what?? lol
I understood what you meant but you did not understand me as there is still no proof. I was playing with you but I can see that went over not well either..... Maybe you should get some sleep
