Can you tell me exactly what format the link has to be in order to have good backlink? I am talking about attributes such as title, rel, href. What sort of format to you use?

How to create a powerful image link:

    <a href=”http://fruitpalace.com/” title=”company fruit”><img src=”images/apple.jpg” alt=”green apples on a tree”>Apple Tree</a>

When linking an image, always try to have descriptive anchor text associated with the image.

I don't think you should go for image links. Search Engines give more value to Text based links. So the code will be something like this:

Never use the inverted ” . Always use "

Also, it is a good idea to get links for the www version of your site rather than the non-www link.

If you want tips on how to Choose Proper Anchor Texts, read the article.

If you dont specify it, it will be 'follow' by default.

All above posts stand true..Just to add.. Dont be so much SEO/Backlinks concious.. As long as the links code natural, and doesnt depict like manipulation done for SEO purpose, it will provide its benefit. Stay Normal.. Infact.. follow the basics:

    <a href="http://www.mydomain.com">My anchor text</a><br>Content wrapped around....
    Code (markup):
that shud do it..just in case you get over concious, it might (not always) but might get detected or lead to being discounted...

    Hope that helps..

    Relevant content wrapped around?

    What would that do?

hmmm... good question.. So heres the example.. You have a Medical site, and some body requests you to put up a Financial link onto a page.

You simply add an anchor text out there and link is ready.. BUT like everyone knows, every link has got a certain value and its never zero.. weather its .5 or 80 but each n every link has its value, so talking in terms of value, such a link will not be awarded that much of a value as compared to the one wrapped around some natural text(relevant)

People do article writing and submit those to article directories, Think that way, they are basically directories, and a link from directory..Ummm But then content around that link and a page dedicated to that content is of far more value then just a link lurking around..

Another shot.. Never mind, a link to a financial site with just an anchor text on medical site will be of less value then a link on the same medical site, with a page completely dedicated to finance related topic..

Thats what is the power of content :)

Thats what I meant to indicate when I said, text wrapped around it..

    Hope that helps..

Search Engine give more importance to text links. So, use text links for good back link.
