Dissappointed with Google AdSense’s Ad Targeting?

I just wrote a blog post on why it is I'm disappointed with Google's ability to match AdSense ads to my content pages.

I'm looking for feedback through the comments area of my blog that discuss how you feel Google does with this matter. I've explored most of the common issues (tagging content, geotargeting, AdWords users opting out of content match, etc.) -- but I'm hoping to find some new ways to improve things for my users.

If you have some time and would like to contribute your thoughts and opinions on the matter -- I'd certainly appreciate your taking the time to do so.

    The blog post is at:

I agree with you. They need to focus on key words used in your site and then show ads relevant with those. Half the time the ads are about something completely opposite from what you have. On my site for example, most of the time they have ads for tombstones and memorial products. I dont know of any place on mine where I even talk about death. Sometimes these algorithms that they use are not so productive and tend to be used in a negative way. We'll see if they can come up with any sort of solution, but as long as they're making money, I doubt they'll even care.

Ironically the Google Ads that appear on your blog post page are related to the topic of the post...:)
