As I've started marketing my new blog heavily, I began marketing them by buying 'Recent Blog' spots on fellow members. However, now I am beginning to wonder how effective are the 'recent blog' spots in driving traffic? I don't seem to see much traffic coming from them.... What are your thoughts? Do you actually visit blogs when u see the 'recent blog' posts on members?
i think its all in the title ... i have seen surges of up to 200 uniques a day coming from my recent blog post once i actually got a catchy title working ...
Occasionally but only from a site with a very good author who I trust and like and feel will recommend interesting sites.
haha, great. At least i got ONE. btw, tks for your comments, they were quite constructive and do check back for more! hmm.... seems that the recent blog spot is not too effective from responses. Perhaps, i shld re-evaluate my investments
I rarely click the recent blog links, and only if the titles catch me from the first moment. Offtopic: I searched the rules in order to find out how can someone have the Recent post feature but i couldn't find anything. I guess it's something related to the numbers of posts the user has? Can someone enlighten me with this? 10x in advance
A blog with good title and unique content especially placed in social networking sites generally drives more viewers.
Have u tried the 'edit options' feature in your usercp? The blog feed input is found there.... i agree that blog titles are impt, so assuming good blog topic titles, will you notice and click on the post to read it?
