If you're the owner of the forum(i.e. have access to template files), you can modify them to show ads on them. If you're a user, I doubt you can.

If you are the webmaster then you can place ads in any post you want, but I don't think that posting ads in sig would be allowed. I am not 100% sure check google TOS for that.

    ah never tried this..
im still not sure if i can do that
coz you might have 4 post in one thread in the page
and more then 3 ads is not allowed by google terms, so that could be a worry.

If you say 'allowing ads in sigs' do you mean allowing all users to add their adsense ads in their sigs or just add it to one sig? Adding to 1 sig can be allowed, but I dont think adding on all sigs will be allowed.

    Yes it's possible.
Just don't exceed the limit of 3 banners + 1 link unit per page ;)

I do that on my forum (smf). The ads will only display if the member is displaying their sig, and I restrict to 2 in-thread adsense exposures + 1 at the top of the page. This gives a pleasing 'random' look to the ads below posts. I also restrict the number of posts per page to 10.

When in doubt on something as major as this, its best to get the answer from the horses mouth, so to speak.

Adsense will not show more than three times anyway, but I will ask the adsense team and post back their answer.

you cannot post it unless you are forum administrator. You can try, but administrators will delete your account.

Most threads have more than 3 replies and if you show adsense on all sigs, it will violate adsense TOS. Not a very good idea IMO :)

Yes you can as longs as you don't have porn, illegal content extra on your forums. The normally TOS still apply though.

you can put it into your sticky topic, if you are the owner of the forum but i'm not sure about the signatures. i think it will be a risk

In that case, the forum should allow java scripts in signature, which is, I am afraid, is not allowed by forums.
