It is supposedly be the cooling trend at this time, and yet it's warming. I don't understand there still are people to believe this is a conspiracy or not a big deal.

I did see the new rapport released today and its disturbing yes.
Hey, even Bush starts to support environmental care now. A few days ago he said that he had been presented for rapports that make him sure that we have to do something. The proof is now so overwhelming that even Bush type of people understands it.

The year 2007 will stand in history as the year when the global population did understand that we had to do something.

You stated clearly that because the second coming is near and GC is not man made, there's no point in even trying...

Doesn't sound like a responsible attitude towards taking care of the earth, at the very least.

He always has. Actually, he has done more for the environment than Clinton or Gore ever did. Bush introduced the Clear Skies Initiative an attempt to amend the Clean Air Act as early as 2002.

Bush is a lot greener than people give him credit for. In fact, if not for 9/11, i think Bush's legacy would have been as the "Green President"!

Ok, you've convinced me with your scientific evidence. It's CRAP, and should be ignored at any cost. Especially since the democrats believe in it.

Again, you read more into this than was there. I never said there was not point... I clearly indicated that there is nothing man can do to influence GC in either direction.

I never said not to try... Give me your paypal address so I can send you someone money for new glasses.

It's called sarcasm. You can learn more about it's definition and usage here.

Global Warming is real just watch al gores movie, an inconvenient truth.

The US has not signed kyoto, they still wanna make money from oil.

Its a well know fact that we as humans can accomplish anything, we have the technology and the power to combat global warming.

Global warming causes adverse weather effects, not just hotter summers.

Another sad thing is people truly dont care about global warming, joking around about global warming really is not funny its not a laughing matter, THe US does want us to think this way however, they dull us down through media, just watch any television show and you will find that we laugh about the most important things, its almost evil.

The electric car was invented many many years ago, the US didnt let it get into the works, they want money from the oil once again. But realistically we could have all been driving electric cars today.

Whats disgusting is that there are documentaries funded by the US where they pay off scientists and the like to say global warming is not happening, and that its not important. Like WOW.

My other opinion however is this, what if global warming is not as serious as we think and thats why the US has not signed kyoto, and that its all just one big hoax to make money, the US does run the world and could control something like this, its a conspiracy theory but who knows.

Thanks! I did learn something: "Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger[2] or annoyance."

Considering global warming must be a real annoyance to you.

US didnt sign the Kyoto. US has the biggest releases of green house gasses in the world, China is number 2. That two countries specially have to come to some sort of agreements. They are meeting these days so maybe...
If Bush or others does something somehow insignificant that does not count. Heavy action have to be taken.

And another thing. We think that taking heavy actions will cost us our living standards. The fact is that the economy will suffer terrible in the future if we dont do something. If we dont do it our kids and grandkids will have a lower standard of living.

I don't think the Government really stopped the development of electric cars, or hydrogen fuel. I think it has more to do with the cost of these kinds of cars still being too high for the average family, and the government would have to give some sort of subsidy to make them cheaper, which would ultimately come out of our pocket from taxes, and people just aren't worried enough or can't afford to support that.

Of course it is real... Who said it was not? We don't need eGore to tell us that...

No, the US pulled its support for Kyoto... There were unreasonable mandatory limits that would likely cause to great of an economical impact on the US consumer. Couple this with the fact that neither China, nor India had/have agreed on Kyoto as well.

Also, let's not forget the biggest fact. Too many uncertainties and inaccuracies with regard to climate change exist for their to be any significant evidence of human impact either positive or negative...

Why does 1916 always come to mind in these useless GC discussions?

Ok, then why/how did GC exist before man (humans) existed?

    Talk about a conundrum.
Ok, but what does that have to do with man?

I think you misunderstand what it is people care about. It's not that people who disagree with your assertion, do not care. It is that they do not believe what you believe. Please do not mistake a differing opinion for a lack of care.

Have you been watching HBO specials again? The US is not the driving force behind the lack of the EV. The American Consumer is in most part to blame.

Really? Can you provide some proof of this?

The US is not supporting Kyoto for the reason's I cited above... There is no conspiracy here.

As if "Kyoto" is suddenly the end all fix all? Come on. All Kyoto does is put strain on global commerce without actually addressing how we provide alternative, cleaner forms of energy.

Reducing dependence on a mandatory basis is not the solution. I think even China and India recognized that as well.

I think he did something quite significant. He recognized that a bandaid does not cure AIDS.

Too bad more people did not get this passionate about things like the war on terror... Without more attention paid to that issue, there will be no kids or grandkids to worry about. ;)

Every couple of hundred thousand years or whatever the earth does go through hot and cold periods, but with human intervention we could bring this on early or even bring it on even worse than it should eventually be..

Amazing. That big yellow thing we see all day can actually warm the planet? Shocking!

The sun's output is not consistent; it fluctuates causing warming and cooling over the course of the history of the planet.

Sure, you are free to start talking about other things like AIDS and terrorism when you have no arguments.

Kyouto the end fix ? No, the start fix.

So there you fall into the trap at once, talking about global commerce and how Kyouto can hurt economy, are you at all pay attention to what they are saying about that global warming will hurt the future economy ?
