Why do they do that??

i am a member of DP since almost 3 years...although i didnt post much back then when i joined in 2005...i still used to watch threads..

but today a member was asking me for repping him up...why do newbies BEG for reps??

i have been here since more than 3 years..and never begged even once for reps..but got them much more than what i would have got..

another new thing i experienced today is that a DP member..added me in messenger and is asking me to rep him..

please...i have a personal advice to all of those who have not much reps....

if you go around asking..you will end up more in negative rather than positive..dont ask and you get more than you ever expected..

i am just fed up of seeing here threads asking for reps or itraders..i am just fedUP...

As humans..u know when we are asked for something...we give it...but the happiness is there...but when we give something to someone, without the reciever asking...the value of it increases!

PS:the title is Why do they do that(its so similar to that show i used to watch on TV..How'd They do That )

 

Some people think if they have lot of rep points they would be a respectable member here.
Also, with this new trend of Signature link sales, the rep adds up a little value to the link.

Almost everyone on this forum now has many green blobs, so much that it has lost its actual value.

but can you enlighten me how does more rep affect signatures????!!

 

I have never asked for rep on any site and never will. And you are completely right Syed, the value of the rep. increases when it is deserved and NOT begged for.

It does not affect the sginatures, but its just one of the selling points.

 

yeh they dont affect signatures.. only post count and posts per day do IMO im annoyed at it as well

 

Well People like Green blubs so they always asking reps any way. They thoght Reps would be count great in Selling value and also think that Reps is make a respactable person on DP.

 

how naive...! lol.....since DP has become so famous..people are signing up from all the wierdest places i have ever heard..

not that i am a racist or something..

the other day..this guy called Mr Zeeshan...made a thread in this section asking for some Guy friends from america...

lol some mod or a top poster replied GTFO ;-)

and the thread was closed...and he was banned..this should be done..

and then they ar elike why did i get banned??!!! lol
